Speech Pathologists also specialise in the assessment and prescription of augmentative and alternative communication systems. Our speech pathologists also provide support and guidance to families and caregivers, helping them to better understand the communication disorder and its impact on the person’s life. Connect2Care values our social workers as members of our team. Social workers support people to make changes in their lives to improve their personal and social well-being. This happens by identifying issues that require change and connecting people with support such as secure housing or family therapy. Social workers have knowledge of human behaviour and development, life cycle stages, families and social networks, disability and health, including mental health. We believe that social workers are essential to creating a caring and just society, and we are proud to have them as members of our team.
