Hi Nationwide Coverage

Nationwide Coverage

Nationwide Coverage

At Connect2Care, we can provide telehealth appointments for many therapies, including Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Speech Pathology, Psychology, Dietetics, and even Exercise Physiology. Providing these services via telehealth enables people who are living in rural and remote locations, to access services where access to specialist therapeutic support might not be available in their immediate communities.

Our Psychological Therapy Services

Our psychologists have experience helping individuals (adults and children), families, and their supports to:

  • Understand their diagnoses and disabilities.
  • Manage feelings of stress, anger, anxiety and/or depression.
  • Build emotional insight and regulations strategies.
  • Construct in behavioural management strategies for children.
  • Cope with grief, loss, crisis situations and/or trauma.
  • Improve relationships and social skills.
  • Set goals, improve confidence and motivation.
  • Recover from drug and/or alcohol issues.
  • Develop problem-solving skills to manage difficult situations.
  • Support participants in reaching their personal and NDIS goals.

Psychological Assessments

A psychosocial disability is a disability that may arise from a mental health issue.

While not everyone who has a mental health condition will have a psychosocial disability, some people may have a disability resulting from their mental health condition. This can have a severe impact on their ability to maintain relationships and undertake day-to-day activities.

Connect2Care Psychologists perform assessments for people who may qualify for the NDIS, such as:

  • Psychological Assessments
  • Cognitive Assessments including Wechsler Assessments (WPPSI-IV, WISC-V, WAIS-IV, WMS-IV)
  • Behavioural Assessments including Conners 3
  • Capacity Assessments including Social Responsiveness Scale, Childhood Autism.

At Connect2Care, we provide evidence-based psychological therapy to infants, young children, and adolescents up to the age of 18 years.

We believe a child’s early years are crucial in determining how they will learn and develop later in life and use early childhood intervention strategies that are both family-centred and strengths-based. We work with families, caregivers, and their broader support networks to achieve the best outcomes for our paediatric clients.

This includes working closely with parents, grandparents, schools, kindergartens, and childcare centres to provide consistent and holistic therapeutic support.

NDIS early intervention support services assist children with a disability from ages zero to seven. This is an ideal time for children to gain tools that will help them throughout their lifetime.

Some conditions that we support include, but are not limited to:

  • Autism Spectrum Disorder
  • Attention Deficit Disorder
  • Learning Disability
  • Social Skills
  • Dyspraxia
  • Dyslexia
  • Social skills
  • Behaviour Support
  • Parent Support and Coaching
  • Assessment and Report Writing
  • School readiness.

As part of our holistic approach to allied health support, we also offer a range of NDIS approved paediatric services, including speech pathology, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, exercise physiology and dietetic teams.

We understand that leaving the house and travelling to appointments can be challenging. At Connect2Care, we have mobile Psychologists who specialise in behavioural intervention and support for people with a disability. Our mobile psychological appointments can take place either at home or in another preferred environment. We also offer NDIS approved psychological services remotely via telehealth.

If you need to see a psychologist, contact our helpful support team to discuss your requirements, or you can submit your query directly online.

In addition to our mobile support, we also welcome clients to come into our Melbourne, Brisbane or Sydney centres for appointments. Appointments take place in private and accessible spaces to ensure our clients and their families feel secure and comfortable.

Connect2Care is an approved NDIS psychology provider. We work to support and guide participants and their families striving for positive change. Our Psychologists set clear strategies and goal-directed interventions based on the best practises of psychological therapy.

Our Psychologists work alongside our Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Speech Pathologists, Exercise Physiologists and Dietitians as required, providing a united and holistic approach to care. We also work closely with the families of our clients and their broader support networks to help them achieve their goals.

We value one’s right to choice and control. Our team will work with clients and their loved ones to find the right Psychologist for their individual needs. We value quality services and open communication and will strive to support you through your therapeutic journey, navigating the NDIS and advocating for you.

Mobile Services

Our Mobile Allied Health Care Services

Connect2Care have multi-disciplinary teams based in Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia, the ACT, and Western Australia. We offer a predominately mobile allied health service, allowing therapy to be provided within one’s own environment, whether that be at school, home or a local community setting. This ensures our team can help build strength and skill where our clients spend most of their time.

In addition, we have state-of-the-art hubs in Melbourne, Brisbane, and Sydney, providing a safe and comfortable place to support clients who have a preference to come into our practices.

An additional model of care offered by our team of registered NDIS providers is that of telehealth, whereby we can support clients who are unable to access our face-to-face services, including NDIS therapies, and provide them the opportunity to engage using teleconferencing tools. This is particularly beneficial for clients residing in rural or remote areas, as well as those individuals who may be immunocompromised.

Frequently Asked Questions

An NDIS provider is an individual or organisation that delivers support or product to an NDIS participant. An individual or an organisation can become an NDIS provider after registering with the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission (NDIS Commission).
You can find a list of registered NDIS providers in Victoria (VIC) by visiting the Provider Finder on the NDIS portal and checking the box corresponding to VIC under the State/Territory menu on the left-hand side of the page. You can also narrow your search by entering the Suburb name or postcode in the search box.
You can find registered NDIS providers near you by entering the name of your suburb or postcode in the search box on the NDIS portal’s Provider Finder page.
Registered providers are approved by the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) to support plan-managed participants. Unregistered providers either lack approval or do not register with the NDIS. Unregistered providers aren’t accountable to the NDIA and can’t be investigated by them. They also can’t work directly with NDIA-managed participants, limiting their client base. Most unregistered providers are small private or family operators offering limited disability services.
If a service provider is registered with the NDIS, the provider’s name should be available on the NDIS portal’s Provider Finder database. You can enter the Australian Business Number (ABN) or the name of the provider in the search field on the left-hand side of the page.

NDIS support aims to provide people with disabilities equal life opportunities, including housing, employment, leisure activities, and social connections. Participants select and fund services from a personalised budget aligned with their goals.

The support framework consists of three main categories:

  1. Core: Assists with daily living tasks
  2. Capital: Covers investments like assistive technology, equipment, home/vehicle modifications, or specialist housing
  3. Capacity Building: Enhances independence and skill development

Individuals are granted financial support to access essential services and aid deemed “reasonable and necessary”. These resources help them work towards their objectives. The support is organised into 15 distinct categories based on intended use. They are:

  1. Assistance with Daily Life
  2. Assistance with Social and Community Participation
  3. Assistive Technology
  4. Consumables
  5. Coordination of Supports
  6. Finding and Keeping a Job
  7. Home Modifications
  8. Improved Daily Living
  9. Improved Health and Wellbeing
  10. Improved Learning
  11. Improved Life Choices
  12. Improved Living Arrangements
  13. Improved Relationships
  14. Increased Social and Community Participation
  15. Transport
You can use unregistered and registered service providers if you have a plan-managed or self-managed plan. However, you can only use registered providers if your plan is NDIA-managed.

Selecting an ideal NDIS service provider is crucial for people with disabilities to enhance their quality of life. The abundance of options can make this choice challenging. To find a provider that meets your needs and helps you access appropriate funding, consider asking these key questions:

  1. Does the provider offer the specific support you require?
  2. What are the qualifications and experience of their staff?
  3. Are their prices reasonable and competitive?
  4. Can they provide flexibility in your support plan?

This approach will help you identify a provider that aligns with your needs and circumstances.
